MY PICTURES AND STORIES

My Pictures and Stories is a 48-page book designed to help pre-kindergarten and beginning kindergarten students develop a range of literacy skills. These instructional writing notebooks are for young students to draw pictures about personal stories which they will write or dictate to teachers. Teachers use these writing experiences to develop students' fine motor control, oral language, letter-sound knowledge, and vocabulary in an enjoyable and meaningful way. A space for the teacher's monitoring notes turn these notebooks into an assessment that documents students growth and achievement.
